2003 - 100 Years

2003 was the 100th year that the name “Armstrong” has meant “Insurance” to many in Truro and vicinity.   It is the oldest Insurance Business in Truro, having been established in 1903, by the late C.A.Armstrong.  The late Charles D. Armstrong joined the business following his service in the First World War.  In 1961 the business was incorporated under the name of C.D.Armstrong Limited with C.D.Armstrong as President and the late Annie H. Armstrong as Secretary- Treasurer.  

David E. Armstrong joined the firm in 1963 thus making the third generation in the business. David’s wife Tillie joined the business in 1981 and their daughter Martha began her Insurance career in 1991 making the fourth generation of the Insurance family. 

C.D.Armstrong Insurance has a staff of ten.  

Winston Brown, Jill McMullen, Louise Trask, Susan Joudrey, Gail MacKenzie, Debbie MacDonald, Dixie Duggan, and Doug MacCallum are also licensed agents and would be pleased to look after your insurance needs.
